About Undercurrents

Undercurrents is a student publication dedicated to documenting and amplifying grassroots organizing by 5C community members.

2022-23 coverage focused on labor organizing by Pomona, Pitzer, University of La Verne and Whittier College dining and custodial workers, as well as the launch of Students for Justice in Palestine’s Suspend Haifa campaign.

Undercurrents abides by the American Press Institute’s standard that journalism’s “essence is a discipline of verification.” We will always report accurately and fairly and be transparent about our sourcing. We aim to be the publication of record when it comes to grassroots power-building efforts in Claremont.

Thanks for reading Undercurrents
