Help us document real change as it happens.
Students and organizers today read archives about successful movements from decades ago to inform their understanding and practice — we’re writing the first draft of history for the current moment, to be referenced for decades to come.
We’re looking for writers, photographers, designers and other contributors — no prior experience required. Learn community reporting and documentation skills from a community of experienced reporters and organizers.
Last year, we covered Pitzer workers’ union drive and admin’s union-busting campaign, Pomona dining workers’ strike and contract win and SJP’s Suspend PZ Haifa campaign launch. Last fall we provided the most timely and thorough coverage of Palestine actions on campus, including documentation of multiple incidents of admin repression, and the only visual documentation of many actions. We publish print magazines, web articles and social media content.
We’d love to have you join us this spring. Fill out this interest form to be notified about Undercurrents meetings this semester.
Undercurrents reports on labor, Palestine liberation, prison abolition and other community organizing at and around the Claremont Colleges.
